The Saginaw/Midland/Bay Michigan Works! presented the Partner of the Year Award for 2005 to The Saginaw County Business & Education Partnership for its expertise, ability to coordinate the work of scores of various agencies, and it’s willingness to share it’s expertise in the development of an outstanding Career Ladders System.

The Zonta Club awarded Kathy Conklin the Zonta Woman of the Year for 2002 for her contributions to the Saginaw Community and the successful achievement of women.
 
The National Alliance of Business awarded Kathy Conklin, Executive Director for the Saginaw County Business & Education Partnership, the 2001 Education Professional of the Year, Distinguished Performance Award in recognition of exemplary contribution to education excellence and workforce quality.
The Michigan Quality Council presented our organization in November of 1999, the Quality Leadership Lighthouse Recognition for demonstrating a commitment to continuous quality improvement with potential for further deployment and results through the implementation of effective plans, procedures and measurement systems.
 
In 1999, the Utility Business Education Coalition, Inc. (UBEC) selected our organization as one of fifty in the nation as a UBEC Learning for the 21st Century site. They provided technical assistance to help our partnership work more effectively in engaging businesses, schools and the greater community to set and support high academic expectations for all students.
The Saginaw County Business & Education Partnership was presented the 1999 Partner in Education Award, "supporting area students today, for a positive impact on tomorrow." This program is a communitywide effort between The Saginaw News and area businesses to develop better educational opportunities for students by providing newspapers and curriculum materials for classroom use.
 
The National Alliance of Business awarded the Business & Education Coordinating Council of Saginaw Michigan the 1998 Distinguished Performance Award for the Local Business Coalition of the Year in recognition of exemplary contributions to partnership programs that help build a quality workforce for America.
 
The Michigan Education Association presented the Business, Labor and Industry Award for 1995 to the Saginaw County Business Education Coordinating Council for our innovative partnership between business and education.
