Dear Business Leader,
Subject: School Counts!
Are you having a tough time finding qualified high school students or graduates to work in your business? Many Saginaw County employers have reported that they cannot find enough good workers.

To help build a more dependable workforce, the Saginaw County Business & Education Partnership, in partnership with Saginaw County’s Promise and the National Alliance of Business, is facilitating the School Counts! initiative. The School Counts! initiative requests Saginaw County employers to ask for transcripts from applicants who have completed high school or its equivalency within the last three years of applying for employment.

As one of Saginaw County’s business leaders, we are asking you to participate in the School Counts! initiative. Would you please sign the enclosed registration form and return it to the Saginaw County Business & Education Partnership in the self-addressed envelope.

If you have any questions, please give us a call. We can be reached at (989) 752-2588, ext. 4317. Our offices are located at Wright-K Technology, Inc. When you call the phone number listed, it will ring into Wright-K Technology, Inc. and by adding the extension, it will ring into our office.

We hope we can count on you to send a clear message to students that what they do in school really matters by participating in the School Counts! Initiative.

Sincerely,

Kathy Conklin,
Executive Director
